'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League homecoming

Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his desire in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is open to discuss a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is presently two years through the four-year contract he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the summer of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which was the initial significant honor of his illustrious career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he previously was, and would definitely consider prolonging his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so goes and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the fastest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would react after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
